Access to global equity markets
We put stewardship first
Stewart Investors manage equity portfolios, on behalf of clients, in Asia Pacific, emerging markets, worldwide and sustainable investment strategies. They have a distinct culture and investment philosophy which is unchanged in more than two decades, since the launch of their first investment strategy in 1988. The continued priority of Stewart Investors is to deliver sustainable long-term investment returns and to protect client capital.
Stewart Investors has offices based in Edinburgh, London, Sydney and Singapore. Stewart Investors operates as a semi-autonomous business unit within First State Investments, known as First Sentier Investors in Australia.
Sustainable investment has always been an integral part of Stewart Investors’ investment philosophy and stock-picking process. We believe ESG issues are investment issues and we identify them, and their importance, through bottom-up company research. Our own team of investment analysts identify and analyse companies and their behaviour towards ESG issues.
Ultimately, we believe ESG issues determine whether a company will be a going concern longer term and consequently ESG is at the heart of our analysis.
All Stewart Investors funds are guided by the same investment philosophy. Our Sustainable Funds Group applies this philosophy with an added emphasis on long-term sustainability themes as key drivers of long-term investment performance.
More information on Stewart Investors' approach to responsible investment can be found on their website.
